Ceramically Enhanced Ultrasonics

We proudly own the leading U.S. manufacturer of small and specialty piezoelectric ceramic elements and assemblies.
Piezo Kinetics, a Crest Group company, provides the foundation for our worldwide network of companies through its manufacturing of high-quality piezo ceramics. Not only does PKI develop piezoelectric ceramics for us; it also manufactures these elements and assemblies for thousands of companies outside of the Group.
Though part of a multimillion dollar international corporation, PKI remains a small, but growing, independent operation that can provide custom piezoceramics cost effectively, even in small quantities. Our proximity to Penn State University’s main campus allows us to utilize their renowned resources for R&D. We have a cooperative relationship with the Penn State Materials Research Laboratory, giving us a unique competitive edge in the forefront of piezoceramics technology.
We are confident we can be responsive, timely, and economical for companies developing new uses for piezoelectric ceramics, as well as those who have been using them for decades. You can count on PKI to be a dedicated part of your team.
Core offerings provided to customers throughout the world:
Development, manufacture and testing of standardized Piezo Ceramic shapes — These common forms have millions of applications in durable goods. With each representing distinct axes, polarization, capacitance, displacement and voltage qualities, there are many possibilities for such standardized forms. These Piezo Ceramic compounds are constructed of different elements depending on usage threshold guidelines. Currently, PKI manufactures Piezo devices in: Lead Zirconate Titanate (PZT), Lead Metaniobate (PN), and Lead Nickel Niobate (PNN). Your Piezo Kinetics Engineer will provide a recommendation as to the best compound for your Piezo form.
Development, manufacture and testing of non-standard Piezo Ceramic forms and shapes — For advanced or specialty applications, Piezo Kinetics can provide specialized forms. These forms can provide enhanced performance characteristic that can directly benefit application effectiveness.
Engineering collaboration — As part of our business model and in direct relation with our desire to provide clients with exceptional service, PKI offers direct engineering collaboration. Over the years, PKI engineering teams have provided exceptional guidance on Piezo Ceramic Applications. Our Piezo Ceramic Engineers are recognized industry-wide for their advanced knowledge of Piezo Ceramic in industrial applications.
Value-added manufacturing — PKI’s Value-added manufacturing department provides companies with new opportunities for production efficiency and cost savings. PKI can extend the Piezo manufacturing expertise further into your production model while ensuring a higher level of quality.
Piezo Kinetics received ISO9001:2008 certification on January 31, 2012. This accomplishment enables PKI to better support existing customers and grow business in regulated fields, including medical, aerospace and military applications.
